B&B and Do-Maru. The Do-Maru armchair draws inspiration from the ancient samurai armour, characterised by rigid painted and decorated leather plates that wrapped around and defended the warriors' bodies. Its design, similar to Doshi Levien's Almora swivel armchair from 2014, features a shell composed of two overlapping shells, softened by upholstery that can be covered in fabric or leather. The cast aluminium rear support strongly emphasises the conical line of the armchair, while the front support, made of tubular metal with different finishes, harmoniously coordinates with the colours of the shell. A combination of elegance and robustness inspired by the samurai armour tradition.
