The story of a Cypriot artist who combined art and ingenuity to create timeless works

Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot artist born in 1967 who has skilfully combined art and ingenuity. From a young age, he had a great passion for creating unique and special objects, which led him to travel to London to study Civil Engineering at Imperial College. However, his attraction to the shapes and poetry of objects led him to enrol in the Master's programme in Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art, where he realised his graduation thesis, the 'Message Cups', which has become a true work of art exhibited in the prestigious permanent collection of the V&A in London. The 'Message Cups' represent a declaration of love for art and ingenuity and are the result of a unique understanding of the 'psychology' behind the objects. Michael Anastassiades' story is a hymn to passion and perseverance, a celebration of beauty born from the fusion of technology and art, an inspiration to all those who want to follow their dreams and never give up.
