The D.555.1 coffee table, designed by Gio Ponti between 1954 and 1955 for his residence in Via Dezza in Milan, is an iconic piece of the Gio Ponti Collection. This collection is a collection of furniture designed by the illustrious architect from 1935 to the 1950s. The coffee table features a metal frame and legs, embellished with a hand-painted coloured grid. The finishing touch is provided by the transparent glass top, which lends elegance and lightness to the design. Everything is produced by Molteni&C, faithfully following the original designs preserved in the Gio Ponti Archives. A true tribute to the art and vision of one of the most influential Italian architects of the 20th century.
