The armchair, originally designed by Gio Ponti for the Planchart villa in Caracas in the 1950s, is now a symbol of the Gio Ponti Collection, managed by Molteni&C under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati. This unique piece is presented as an enveloping shell, composed of a rigid polyurethane shell, a soft counter shell and a comfortable cushion. It offers the flexibility of customisation thanks to the wide range of fabrics and leathers offered by Molteni&C. Its refined aesthetics and functionality led it to win the Wallpaper Design Awards in 2016, consecrating the armchair as a Molteni&C design icon.
