The incredible story of the great Italian entrepreneur, Vittorio Livi, and his Fiam
At a time of profound change, in the town of San Germano, a visionary man set himself the challenge of transforming his passion for glass into an enterprise that would make Italian design known and appreciated throughout the world. Vittorio Livi, founder of Fiam, was able to turn his dream into a reality that exceeded all expectations. In 1988, during a time of celebration for the city of New York, which had just inaugurated the World Trade Center, Vittorio Livi received the prestigious 'honorary award of the city of New York' from Mayor Edward Koch. It was the result of a successful journey that had begun 15 years earlier, when Vittorio had founded Fiam, a company that has been able to spread the beauty and craftsmanship of Italian 'savoir faire' to every corner of the world. These bedside tables are the concrete demonstration of a dream come true, the result of a company that has been able to combine a passion for design with the tradition of Italian craftsmanship, making Fiam a symbol of elegance and quality throughout the world
