The home and travel companion
The furniture was the trusty companion and ideal extra for the Charles & Ray Eames couple's photo shoots during their long journeys.
The designer home accessory found its place in the famous residence conceived and designed by the illustrious designer couple in Los Angeles after World War II, just a short distance from the Pacific Ocean. The design element, made of wood, was positioned in the centre of the living room and stood out among the other home accessories selected by the designer couple. The exclusive residence was built in 1949 and is set in a bucolic meadow, characterised by the presence of many hundred-year-old eucalyptus trees. The residence is open to the public and can still be visited today.
